Mark your calendars for Carnaval Brasileiro at the Cedar Culture Center!

Blue Lady will be making a special performance in her Carnival costume with Brasil Arts Oceanettes and Ginga da Bahia! She will be mingling with Carnaval goers all evening. Including the daytime matinee!!

Over 50 singers, drummers, samba dancers, Capoeiristas (Brazilian martial artists) and artisans will transform The Cedar into an authentically festive Brazilian cultural experience!

Guitarist/vocalist Robert Everest and his ten-piece group Beira Mar Brasil will host the very unique Carnaval Brasileiro Masquerade Ball.

This year Carnaval Brasileiro is bringing back the popular Brazilfest Afternoon Family Matinee - ideal for families with young children and seniors! Blue Lady will be mingling with her magical Wish Come True Potion and performing!

Both events will feature several performance groups, dancers, authentic Brazilian carnival masks, facepainting, and an authentic Brazilian Carnival experience that will last a lifetime!

Blue Lady will be presenting a special dance performance with the Brazil Arts Oceanettes at the very first Brazil Arts Carnaval! Ginga da Bahia will be dancing, Robert Everest will be playing and there will be a samba Batucada performance. Come have fun with us!

Blue Lady is bringing her friends Fire and Air to mingle with YOU at the launch of Detours: Made Here, the newest series of art installations in downtown Minneapolis.

Made Here showcases fill underused storefronts and commercial spaces with art by local artists, transforming Hennepin Avenue into a walkable urban art gallery. 

It will be an immersive art experience featuring a retrospective exhibit, live performances, a virtual reality lounge, craft cocktails and refreshments. Let’s walk together, meet the artists, and view the incredible artwork installed in the storefront windows on Hennepin Avenue!

Blue Lady is honored to participate in each of JG Everest’s four seasonal Sound Gardens in 2018. She has been inspired to create a water song for each season and exquisite location. Blue Lady will be a roving artist in the upcoming Sound Garden at Manomin Park and will premiere her new Fall Water song with the Free Range Orchestra and Choir. 

The Fall Sound Garden at Manomin Park is a family-friendly, free outdoor event open to all ages and will take place from noon - 5pm on Sunday Sept 30, 2018, at the sacred site where historic Rice Creek flows into the Mississippi River, in Fridley, MN. Experience a walk in nature with lulling sounds composed by JG Everest, visual art, poetry and live music.

The Sound Garden event will celebrate the gratitude of the Fall, the Harvest, the sacredness of water, and the history and ecology of the Rice Creek corridor and confluence with the mighty river.

Blue Lady will be the greeter and mascot for the Grand Re-Opening of beautiful Cedar Lake's South Beach from 4:30pm until sunset! The beach has been closed for improvements, and is ready for all to enjoy again. Come, bring a picnic, enjoy some music and jump in! Meet Blue Lady and her Fishy Friend!  Guitarist James Everest and Free Range Choir will accompany Blue Lady presenting her Summer song at 5:15 and 6:15pm. Enjoy performances by the Minneapolis Ukulele Club and even a bagpipe player at sunset!

Summer is the third of four seasonally-inspired site-specific Sound Gardens to be presented by Wavelets Creative and composer JG Everest in 2018. Each Sound Garden will take place on or next to a significant body of water. Summer will be at Silverwood Park in St Anthony

Come experience music, art, poetry, dance and history all on your walk in Harbor park! Family-friendly and open to all ages. Blue Lady will be mingling and has a spring song to share!

The Sound Garden event will celebrate the coming of spring, the sacredness of water, and the history, geography, and ecology of Harbor Park and Lake Superior, including personal stories and archival photos, as well as the community of local volunteers who brought the park into being.

Spring is the second of four seasonally-inspired site-specific Sound Gardens to be presented by Wavelets Creative and composer JG Everest in 2018. Each Sound Garden will take place on or next to a significant body of water.

Come experience music, art, poetry, dance and history all on your walk out on the ice! Family-friendly and open to all ages. Blue Lady will be mingling and has a winter song to share!

Hennepin Theatre Trust presents Made Here: Energy, an exhibit in the downtown storefronts. This launch features the work of more than 30 Minnesota artists and their art that explores the theme “energy.”

Blue Lady is honored to be part of Hennepin Theater Trust's "Represent Made Here Launch" bringing artist's work into downtown storefront windows and spilling out onto the street! There will be a free public launch from 5-8pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Marin Restaurant and Bar.

This year the theme is Represent: Made Here highlights themes of community, nature, artistic medium, and social justice issues.

Blue Lady is excited to be part of the Twin Cities' fifth annual Brazilian festival designed for families, seniors, and anyone who wants to experience all of the excitement of Brazilian Carnival!  This is an event for the entire family!
