ABOUT BLUE LADY
Blue Lady loves music, dance and masquerade. She has spent a lifetime on land delving into folkloric stories and songs, hand percussion, samba, salsa, tango, and all quests to uplift the spirit.

As an interactive water entity, Blue Lady draws on all she has learned from earth beings to encourage transformative awareness around our relationship to water, each other, and the planet.

Blue Lady has appeared at indoor and outdoor festivities in New York and the Twin Cities area—from Ordway's International Children's Festival, Brazilfest, and Hennepin Theatre Trust's Walking Arts Tours, to community festivals such as Make Music New York, The Coney Island Mermaid Parade, Women and Water Festival and is an active Water Ambassador for Wavelets Creative Sound Gardens.

Artistic Director of World Music, Dance and the Int’l Children’s Festival | Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

We have had Blue Lady and her Global Music Spectacle as part of our Children’s Festival for a few years now.  The stage show is always a great hit, and Blue Lady herself has also been a roving artist, engaging with our young Festival-goers and their families by greeting them and dancing with them.  With their beautiful, colorful costumes, Blue Lady and her friends from the ocean are also a popular photo op of the Festival.  We love Blue Lady!

Director of Public Art and Placemaking for Hennepin Theatre Trust

Blue Lady provides a uniquely magical experience for all of our event attendees, many who have been invited but often passersby on downtown streets in public realm. The artistry of Blue Lady’s costumes and makeup is always astounding and the infectious joy that rapidly spreads is a wonder to behold.
