The Blue Lady Global Music Spectacle

A sparkling multimedia journey to buoy the spirit

The Blue Lady Global Music Spectacle is an evening-length extravaganza presenting Blue Lady’s folkloric tale of her mystical water world and adventures on land, with Eartha and the Elements.

Musical characters Eartha, Air, Fire, Thunder, and Lightning accompany Blue Lady on piano, winds, guitar, bass, and percussion. There’s also salsa, samba, tango dancers, and two fishy friends.

The Spectacle is available as an entire two-hour performance piece or shorter modular segments. Contact Blue Lady! 

The Story

Blue Lady has been lured to land by an earth being, but his mysterious disappearance bewilders her and she experiences a heartache unknown in the depths of the ocean. She becomes passionately curious as she discovers that life on land is full of difficulties, and wonders how earthlings manage to transcend their hardships.

 Blue Lady soon realizes she is not alone in her adventures and is very fortunate to meet Eartha, a delightfully spirited musical entity who introduces her to worldly flavors and textures that encourage Blue Lady to open her senses. Throughout Blue Lady’s ventures through Africa, the Caribbean, Cuba, Brazil and other destinations, she observes what humans do to cultivate happiness, and through trial and error, finds innovative solutions that have the power to buoy both water and earthly spirits.

 Blue Lady is further assisted by the elemental musicians Air, Fire, Thunder, and Lightning. They create a sonic palate inspired by their particular attributes, and launch Blue Lady’s stories into a global musical escapade. Images from her travels add a visual backdrop and another dimension to the Spectacle.

 Blue Lady shares stories of the mystical water world she comes from, the water folklore she discovers in her travels, and unique tales of how people the world over lift their spirits through music, dance, and communal celebration.
